We, Intersport Sturm and Sturm Ski School, are an innovatively run family business in Lofer. When Skischule Sturm was founded in 1987 by father Erich and mother Greti Sturm, we, Wolfgang and Christoph Sturm, took over the management in 2005, expanded the ski rental business and successfully added two sports stores and Café & Bar Bobo's. We pass on our love and passion for sport to our customers every day - whether in the sports store, ski school or ski and bike rental. We stand for the best customer service, professional advice and unbeatable expertise!
Family Sturm
We have been associated with skiing for over 100 years. Our great-grandfather already produced skis and ski poles in his own workshop, which were sold throughout the Alps.
Our father, Erich Sturm, was a successful ski racer and won medals at world championships and the Olympics as coach of the Austrian women's national team. In 1987 he founded the Erich Sturm ski school in Lofer.
Our mother, Greti Sturm, ran a souvenir store in Maria Kirchental for decades and managed the ski school office on the side.
We, Wolfgang and Christoph Sturm, took over the business in 2005 and expanded it.
Marie, Christoph Sturm's wife, has been supporting the business since 2012 and their children are already enthusiastic skiers and riders.

Lofer in Salzburg
Lofer is an Austrian market town with around 2100 inhabitants in the border region of Salzburg, Tyrol and Bavaria, in the middle of the Loferer and Reiter Steinberge mountains. Not far from Kitzbühel, Zell am See and Salzburg, Lofer offers a wide range of outdoor and leisure activities. Both in summer and winter, holidaymakers can experience a unique mountain backdrop, beautiful alpine pastures and a traditional village center.
Best location
Lofer's perfect location offers many ways to get here - either by car, bus, train or plane. Salzburg Airport can be reached in 30 minutes by car or 50 minutes by bus. The train stations are 25 km away.

Corporate Social Responsibilty
Since Sport Sturm was founded over 35 years ago, we have placed great importance on social commitment. Year after year, we have supported local clubs, schools and kindergartens as well as national organizations such as Special Olympics Austria. We purchase goods from workshops for the blind and disabled as well as sheltered workshops in Salzburg, for example the “Grean-Wear” Lofer collection in our sports stores.
OUR EMPLOYEE ACCOMMODATION
We have a total of two staff houses in Lofer, where our employees can stay for short or long periods.
DIRECTLY AT THE LOFER GONDOLA LIFT
Our staff house is located directly at the valley station of the Lofer gondola lift in a sunny location with panoramic views of the Loferer Steinberge mountains and next to the Sturm winter sports center. The house has nine double rooms with shower and WC, a communal kitchen, a breakfast room and a lounge for games evenings and movie nights. There is a washing machine and dryer in the cellar as well as a ski room with ski boot heating.

DIRECTLY IN THE CENTER OF LOFER
The staff apartments are also located in close proximity to the Lofer gondola lift, directly above our sports store in the center of Lofer. The rooms are equipped for 2-6 people and have large shared bathrooms. There is a large common room with kitchen and dining area as well as a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
